Hopi Ear Candling

Effective in treating conditions such as sinusitis, glue ear, migraines, impacted wax, ear pain from flying or driving, colds, snoring, tinnitus.

Treatment not advised if grommets are in place, recent perforated ear drum, oil has been placed in the ear in last 24hrs or known allergic reaction to candles ingredients.

The ‘candle’ is made of flax soaked in honey, with beeswax, sage, camomile, St. John’s Wort and betacarotene. When it is lit and inserted gently in the ear, a moderate suction action is created, lightly manipulating the tympanic membrane (or ear drum). The movement and energy of the flame sends tiny vibrations down the candle which gently massage the tympanic membrane. This, in turn, causes any excess pressure within the inner ear to be released. The treatment can cause excessive wax to rise to the surface for 48 hours after the treatment.
